What We Do

Love Never Fails After-School

We seek to partner with schools that are having the most academic and behavior issues with their students, as we see this as the greatest opportunity in education. Our after school programs allow elementary children a safe place to spend their after school hours.  We currently operate after school programs in 2 Fort Worth ISD elementary schools.  We serve approximately 60 children in each program.

In order to provide our students with the most individualized attention possible, they are divided into small groups of 10-12 for the daily activities.  Our programs operate Monday – Thursday from 3:00 – 6:00pm.  Over 95% of the LNFI children are considered economically disadvantaged and are eligible for free/reduced lunches, while all of them are considered at-risk for academic failure, and many are labeled under the EWI index (read more here).

The children, who are nominated by their teachers, principals, and counselors for the program, are involved in meaningful activities during their time with us. Structured activities at the program include character & leadership lessons, hands-on academic enrichment activities, specialty programs (fine arts, STEM, and sports & recreation) mentoring, homework assistance, student led service projects and an afternoon snack.

The program is completely free for the families we serve. LNFI is a charity that relies on donations and volunteers to offer this free educational program to these at-risk children in the Fort Worth area.
